Security Officer - Days
Salary £12,500
Based on our operations team, your duties involve:
- Monitoring prisoner and vehicle activity (directly and through
CCTV)
- Maintaining perimeter security, locking and unlocking doors
and gates
- Controlling access to the prison
- Monitoring the computerised alarm systems and keeping a detailed
log
- Maintaining effective communication using radio and tannoy
- Use your working knowledge of prison emergency procedures and
operations to ensure adherence to prison routine
Workshop Instructors
Salary £13,000
Our prison industries employ prisoners in a wide range of activities
and it is our intention to expand and improve our facility. In order
to do this, we need self-motivated people who have the skills to
supervise and motivate others. The successful candidate will work
closely with line management and will be involved in the day to
day running of an industrial workshop. Duties will include:
- Supervision of prisoners
- Issuing and security of tools
- Accounting and management of stock
- Maintenance of quality and output of work
- Interfacing with external customers and suppliers
You will need to have good interpersonal skills and the ability to
communicate, lead and motivate. Experience of working in a manufacturing
environment would be desirable.
