Prisoner Induction is a process whereby prisoners
new to HMP Rye Hill are encouraged to become involved in the opportunities
available to them here. This partnership approach will be developed
by providing prisoners with information and involving them in an assessment
process to assist in the allocation to work and offending behaviour
programmes. Induction will be delivered in accordance with HMP Rye
Hill policies on:
Suicide and Self-Harm
Race Relations and Equal Opportunities
Incentives and Earned Privileges
Vulnerable Prisoners
Sentence Management
Prisoner Communication
Visits
Identification of Prisoners who present a risk
Life Sentenced Prisoners
Relevant Prison Service Instructions, Orders, Instructions to
Governors will also be implemented
