POLICY STATEMENTS

Please read through our policy statements:

ANTI-BULLYING

Bullying can be a problem within a prisoner community, and can have serious consequences for its victims. It may cause its victims to withdraw from prison routines and undermine any work to address their own offending behaviour.

At its worst bullying may lead to prisoners' self-harming or attempting suicide. Others may try to escape or fail to return from temporary release.

HMP Rye Hill aims to challenge the bully whilst offering support and help to the victim.
The prison does not tolerate bullying.
